Former Nintendo boss skin braids Meta: - They do nothing innovative

Meta is investing its entire future in a VR / AR reality, something former Nintendo boss Reggie Fils-Aimé has no faith in.

The boss had great success at Nintendo, now he slaughters Meta
Fils-Aimé resigned as head of Nintendo USA in February 2019, and can therefore speak freely about what he thinks about his previous industry he was one of the most important bosses for.

 

And he speaks freely because during an interview with Bloomberg he says that Meta's big project to get the whole world under its augmented reality will not succeed, and that “Facebook is not an innovative company. They simply are not ”.

Naturally, he also has no faith that customers will sit in VR experiences all day long, as he believes that the VR headsets are not ready for the mass market yet (he says he has tested all of them).

 

"It does not mean that VR headsets do not get there one day, but I do not think you will spend 100 percent of the time on it, nor 100 percent of the time you spend on entertainment", he explains and believes that the future will see more like the AR game Pokémon Go and that Fortnite in AR can be an example of what the future will be like.

 

Where's Meta's next-generation VR / AR headset?
There have been reports that Meta is struggling to find the VR success formula and that the teams have been broken up due to a lack of progress.

 

Meta's answer has been that it is natural for them to change the teams:

 

"The question is whether it is a rebuilt version of Android they are working on instead, and which is already used in the Oculus headsets, or something completely separate. The Information article explains that employees on the project have been told to further develop Android, or VROS as the company internally refers to what is used in Oculus. ”
